Steve has been in the investment industry since 1986, co-founding StraightLine in 2002 after 16 years with major Wall Street firms. He currently serves as StraightLine’s Chief Investment Strategist. His years of experience in money management and fiduciary care of his clients has led to this exceptional stand-alone company.
In 1999 he recognized the need for active management within existing 401(k) and 403(b) accounts in addition to traditional investment accounts.
With the Department of Labor’s long-awaited 2001 opinion that allowed independent advice and management for company sponsored retirement plans, Steve saw the opportunity to offer plan retirement investors the kind of research and active allocation previously offered to those investors with substantially higher balances.
