Are you looking for a partner to help improve retirement readiness for your employees? ​

Today, many employers are focused on improving the financial wellness of their employees. While financial wellness programs are a great start, they are not the financial planning and advice many employees are seeking. We can help you establish your organization as a leader in retirement readiness by complimenting your existing advice and guidance offerings with the general education, communication, and advice services of an independent registered investment adviser.

At StraightLine, we view our services as the continuation of the spectrum of advice that plan sponsors should consider making available to their employees. By offering a broad range of advice services, you can reach more employees by allowing them to get advice the way they want it and that meets them where they are in their financial journey.
 
We are here to support your plan by providing education, financial planning, and investment advice to employees and retirees that is unbiased and unfettered by product sales. Our goal is to help improve the potential of each and every employee to reach their financial goals.

Below you will find a description of our services offered to Employer Sponsored Retirement Plans.

Employer Retirement Plan Services

StraightLine’s Employer Retirement Plan Services delivers general education, communication, and advice to employees in employer-sponsored retirement plans.

​​By focusing on the individual employees, StraightLine can help plan sponsors who are seeking to maximize retirement readiness for their employees. ​

There are two components to this service:

1. Education and Communication

​StraightLine will partner with you to build an education and communication plan that works best for your plan. This includes determining content, methods of communication, and frequency of such communications.

Activities would include:
​✔    In-Person Group Meetings that can be focused on financial education topics, current market events, plan features, or plan changes that need to be communicated.

✔    In-person One-On-One Meetings with employees where education becomes personal. Here we can review individual goals and retirement accounts.

✔   “Lunch & Learn” Webinars – designed to provide ongoing financial education on timely topics that help build financial awareness to improve the overall financial wellness of your employees.

✔    Ongoing Access – Throughout the year, your employees will always have access to a StraightLine representative to answer any general questions they may have.

✔   StraightTalk from StraightLine – Regular newsletter and other periodic communications designed to keep employees informed and supplement our education efforts.

2. Employee Advice and Planning Services

For a separate fee, your employees can access our individual services including Discretionary Investment Management, or our Portfolio Allocation Service for the management of their employer sponsored retirement plan accounts. Financial planning is available with the Discretionary Investment Management service or can be a stand-alone service. While All fees for employee Advice and Planning Services are paid by the employee, the plan must allow for the payment of investment advisory fees out of plan assets.

Discretionary Investment Management

Your employees will have access to StraightLine’s Flagship Discretionary Investment Management Service, which is our most comprehensive offer and includes access to financial planning. This service combines our institutional research and money management capabilities with our knowledge of their financial situation to develop a portfolio strategy that maximizes their potential to achieve their financial goals. As part of the ongoing management of their assets, the StraightLine team will be responsible for selecting investments held in their portfolio and for processing all transactions in a timely and accurate manner to ensure continuous alignment between their portfolio strategy and financial goals.​

Portfolio Allocation Service

StraightLine’s Portfolio Allocation Service is a non-discretionary investment management service available for employer sponsored retirement accounts that leverages the firm’s Institutional research and money management capabilities to provide your employees with a portfolio allocation based on their risk tolerance and time horizon.  The StraightLine team will continue to provide recommendations on the allocation and selection of investments held in their employer sponsored retirement account to ensure ongoing alignment with their portfolio allocation. With this service, all investment decisions remain with employee, as well as the responsibility for processing all transactions to ensure their recommended allocation remains aligned with their portfolio.

Stand-alone Financial Planning

For employees not utilizing our flagship Discretionary Investment Management service, which includes access to financial planning, StraightLine offers a stand-alone goals-based financial planning service. This service is modular, collaborative, and ongoing to help employees identify and maximize their potential to achieve their financial goals.

Everyone’s journey is different and while there are foundational components to all financial plans, we will work with each employee to address the most critical components based on where they are in their financial journey.

Whether it is simple or more complex, their plan will be exactly that, their plan, for their journey.

Common topics covered in a StraightLine Financial Plan may include but are not limited to:
  • Cashflow and budget analysis
  • Debt consolidation and repayment strategy
  • Setting financial goals based on needs, wants, and dreams
  • Education planning
  • Review of current investment portfolio
  • Assessment of personal risk tolerance           
  • Develop new portfolio allocation strategy.
  • Ongoing monitoring and management of portfolio. (Requires Discretionary Investment Management Services)
  • Retirement planning (accumulating and distribution phases)
  • Insurance needs analysis
  • Review estate planning
  • Review beneficiary designations
