Mike joined StraightLine as a financial advisor in 2013 after enjoying a successful career in law enforcement where he served for more than 43 years, retiring as the Assistant Chief of Police at Michigan State University.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a degree in Anthropology and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ professional designation (AIF®) by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Executive Education.
He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA and has served on a number of State Training Development committees and taught in four different training academies around the State.
In his off hours, Mike enjoys continuing the public service tradition of his family.

Examples include serving as a member of the Ingham Co. Parks and Recreation Commission, three terms as a Commissioner on the State of Michigan Boundary Commission and as a member of the Williamston Township Property Tax Appeal Board. He is a lifelong investor, purchasing his first equity position (with his Dad’s help) when he was eight years old.
